The mural, called ‘A new bridge,’ was painted by the artist and is a response to the lack of art and community spaces in Phoenix.

The artist says the mural was commissioned to “celebrate a great new chapter for the city and its residents.”

The mural was painted on the ground floor of the Phoenix connector and was a response the city’s downtown and north Phoenix neighborhoods are not providing the same opportunities for artists, he said.
