This is the fourth straight day the Phoenix weather was in the 90s.
The weather this week has been hot, dry and humid.
The first two days were in the high 90s, and it’s likely to get hotter, dryer and humid again today.
The temperature at Phoenix’s airport has been around 20 degrees Celsius (56 degrees Fahrenheit) for the past 30 minutes.
On Wednesday, the temperature was 29 degrees Celsius (-4 degrees Fahrenheit).
In total, the high temperatures have been recorded at 21 degrees Celsius and 30 degrees Celsius.
A temperature reading of 10 degrees Celsius or more is considered a heat wave and can lead to a significant risk of heat stroke and death.
A heatwave has not been observed this far north.
The last heatwave to hit Phoenix was in January, when temperatures reached as high as 30 degrees Fahrenheit in the suburbs of Phoenix.
In 2016, a heatwave hit Phoenix and surrounding Phoenix County for four days.
The heatwave was preceded by a heatstorm in the winter of 2016, which also killed over a dozen people.
