Posted November 01, 2018 06:01:38 Phoenix tattoo artist, Jennifer Burdick, said she would like to have a woman with a phoenix feather on her forearm, but she’s not a woman of color.
“I’d love to have her tattooed on me because I feel like I have the same rights to do that tattoo as other people,” Burdik said.
“It’s not something that is reserved for white women, but I’d like to be able to have it done, just because I’m not white.”
Burdicks phoenix tattoos will be on display during the Phoenix Tattoo Expo in October at the Grand Canyon Visitor Center in Phoenix.
Phoenix tattoo artists, like Burdic, have long been recognized for their work.
Phoenix Tattoos is located at the Arizona State Fairgrounds.
